Tyler and Ashley Ottesen started Brokentop Garage Doors in 2016 because too many Central Oregon homeowners were getting overcharged for simple repairs. 10+ years, 630+ five-star reviews, and 10,000+ jobs later — we're still answering our own phone.
Our Story
We started Brokentop Garage Doors in March 2016 after years working in the industry. We saw too many homeowners getting charged $800 for a $400 spring job, or getting pushed into full door replacements when they just needed a roller swap and some lubricant. We named the company after Broken Top mountain — the one you can see from almost anywhere in Bend — because this is home. We live here, our kids go to school here, and every truck with our name on it is driven by someone who stakes their personal reputation on the work. Over 10+ years and 10,000+ jobs, we've built something we're proud of: a company where the owner still answers the phone, the technicians average 10+ years of experience, and every repair comes with a written warranty. As a CHI authorized dealer and LiftMaster certified installer, we bring factory training to every project — but more importantly, we bring honesty. If your door just needs a $100 fix, we'll tell you that. If it genuinely needs replacing, we'll explain why and show you the options.
