I get this question every single day. And I understand why — nobody wants to call a contractor without some idea of what it is going to cost. You do not want to be ambushed with a $1,200 bill when you were expecting $400.
Here is the most transparent answer I can give you without seeing your specific door.
Why I Cannot Give You a Fixed Price Online
Because I do not know what is wrong with your door yet. A "garage door repair" could be anything from tightening a loose bolt (10 minutes) to replacing both springs, cables, and rollers (2 hours). The diagnosis determines the price.
Companies that advertise specific prices online are either quoting their cheapest possible repair (then upselling on-site) or quoting a price so high it covers every scenario (and you overpay for simple fixes). Neither approach is honest.
What I CAN tell you: call us, describe what your door is doing, and we will give you a realistic ballpark range over the phone. Then when we arrive, we diagnose and give you a firm written price before touching anything.
What Affects the Price
Type of Repair
A sensor realignment takes 15 minutes. A full spring and cable replacement takes 90 minutes. The labor and parts are completely different. That is the biggest factor.
Door Size
A single 8x7 door uses different springs than a double 16x7 door. Larger doors need heavier springs and more hardware.
Parts Quality
We use high-cycle springs (20,000+ cycles) as standard because they last twice as long in Central Oregon's climate. Some companies install the cheapest 10,000-cycle springs — cheaper upfront but you replace them twice as often.
Opener Brand and Model
Opener repairs vary by brand. A gear kit for a common LiftMaster is straightforward. A circuit board for a discontinued model might need to be sourced — which takes longer and costs more.
Our Pricing Philosophy
Three principles:
- No trip fees within our 40-mile service area. Period.
- Written price before work begins. You approve it. If you say no, you owe nothing.
- No surprise charges. The price we quote is the price you pay. If we find something unexpected during the repair, we stop, explain, and get your approval before proceeding.
We do not advertise "starting at" prices because they are misleading. We do not do bait-and-switch. We show up, look at your door, tell you what it needs, and give you a real number.
How to Get Your Price
Call 541-203-7676. Describe what your door is doing — the sound it makes, when it started, whether it opens or closes, whether something looks broken. The more detail you give us, the more accurate our phone estimate will be.
Most repairs are completed in a single visit from parts on our truck. Same-day service Mon-Fri when you call by 2 PM.
